Forodrim is formally speaking a feudal organization. New members select an alias and are solemnly received into Forodrim's Peasantry. Those who take an active hand in the society's work are after a couple of years elevated to the knightly estate, and are called Knights and Dames of Forodrim. The society's administrative committee is known as the Grand Council, and the committee members are styled Lords and Ladies. It is all very imposing.
The estate system is inspired by Mundane initiatory orders, with the difference that Knights and Dames of Forodrim are not made privy to any particularly far-reaching mysteries, but are mainly expected to continue their assiduous work for the society. This most commonly includes practical and organizational tasks, such as cleaning the dishes after banquets or arranging guild meetings.
